Our friends at Oddwood Ales in Austin, TX are mashing in a new lager this morning and jammin’ their usual doom metal playlist. The Oddwood crew is utilizing Bairds Malt 1823 London Lager Malt from their the Bairds Witham malthouse located on the outskirts of London. 1823 London Lager Malt is malted for high extract and low DMS it’s the perfect backbone for a full-flavored lager. With his specialized horizontal lagering tanks, Cory is no stranger to making lager beers and appreciating the nuances of different malts.
