Amityville Village Hall 21.01.2021

As you know, it has been difficult getting appointments for vaccines, and New York is among the many states experiencing supply shortages. Here is the latest info we have received from Albany.... You can find information about the state's vaccine distribution program on http://www.ny.gov/vaccine. Under the "Distribution Plan" tab is where you will find the list of eligible groups. This list will continue to be updated as eligibility is expanded. On this website, you will also... find the "Check Your Eligibility" tool, which residents can use to make appointments as state-operated vaccine sites. The direct link can be found here: https://am-i-eligible.covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/. On the site, there is also a tab for the "Vaccine Tracker." The tracker shows how much vaccine doses NYS has received from the federal government, how many first doses have been administered, and how many second doses have been administered. The direct link to this tracker can be found here: https://covid19vaccine.health.ny.gov/covid-19-vaccine-track. If you know someone who would like to volunteer at a NYS vaccination site, please have them visit this link: https://apps.health.ny.gov/pub/servny/, If someone you know you know is a college, graduate, or post graduate student seeking to support a NYS vaccinations site, please have them visit this link for more information: https://apps.health.ny.gov/pu/studentvolunteer/instructions. Is someone you know seeking temporary work at a NYS vaccination site? Please have them visit this link: https://health.ny.gov/employment/index.htm. Is someone you know is seeking to support hospitals, federally qualified health center (FQHC), and nursing home (NH) surge and flex vaccination efforts, please have them visit this link for healthcare medical professionals: https://uatapps.health.ny.gov/pub/dohvolunteer/instructions.

THIS SATURDAY: Tune in here for Amityville’s Virtual Tree Lighting December 5th at 5:30 pm. While we are disappointed that we cannot gather in person for an in-person Tree Lighting this year, perhaps the best gift we can give each other this season is good health. This year, the Tree Lighting will be shown live and videotaped, featuring a special message from Santa to the children of Amityville. For the safety of all, Santa will not be making an ap...pearance in person. How to watch: Tune-in from the comfort of your home on Saturday, December 5th at 5:30 PM Visit this Facebook Page and view the Tree Lighting Video. Enjoy dance performances by Great South Bay Dance and music by the Salvation Army Brass Band. Tune in for raffle info and a chance to win a great gift basket, courtesy of Todd Brice and the Save the Great South Bay Society! And, look for Santa as he visits by sleigh through the Village on Dec. 12th and 13th! Happy Holidays from Mayor Dennis Siry and the Village Trustees!
