AM Lockport Toastmasters 04.02.2021

This morning, three members of our AM Lockport Toastmasters Club competed in the Area 11 Humorous and International Speech Contests. Congratulations to Larry, Phil, and Erik on a job well done. Larry will represent Area 11 in the Division A International Speech Contest on Saturday March 20th. Good Luck Larry!

It was a Beautiful day for a Toastmasters Get Together! Check it out... 1-28-2021 AM LOCKPORT TOASTMASTERS MEETING with Toastmaster of the day Carol Ann Halstead, PM2 Today's meeting theme is "Inaugurations" Word of the Day: IMMIGRATE OR EMIGRATE... Emigrate means to leave one location, such as one's native country or region, to live in another. Immigrate means to move into a non-native country or region to live. Associate the I of immigrate with in to remember that the word means moving into a new country. There were 23 members in attendance. Table Topics Master Ryan Flore, SR2 asked three attendees to give a one and half to two minute impromptu speech on a given question/topic. Table Topic Ribbon Winner: TIE- Cate Orr and Jen Czapla, DTM Today's meeting had three wonderful speeches and evaluations with our Ribbon Winners: Speech- Tie- Saamir Rahman, LD1 and Phil Russell, DTM Evaluation- Ann Marie Lenhardt, DTM It was a FUN filled meeting that was enjoyed by everyone and definitely "WORTH GETTING UP FOR!"
