Instead of posting a photo of the Twin Towers burning on Sept. 11, 2001, we wanted to share this photo of the Tower of Voices at the Flight 93 Memorial in Shank...sville, Somerset County. Standing 93 feet high, it features a wind chime for each of the 40 individuals who died on Flight 93 when the hijacked plane crashed in the field on that fateful day. It's often quite windy there at the 2,200-acre park and the sound of those wind chimes is breathtakingly beautiful. If you have a chance, visit the Flight 93 Memorial and never forget what happened on that tragic day. See more

CONFIRMED BAHAMAS RELIEF FLIGHT FROM BREVARD SATURDAY Working with Korbel Ballard, a fellow Scout parent, we have spoken with the Prime Minister of Bahamas’s of...fice and arranged for a private plane to fly supplies into the island on Saturday. Here is the official list the government provided us for what they need. My office will open tomorrow at 9 and will accept any and all donations that are in this list. We will accept items until 5pm and then again on Friday from 9-5, after which all items will be transported to the plane. The flight is paid for; cash is not needed or solicited. List of approved supplies are as follows: clothes & shoes of all sizes & genders lightweight non-perishable high protein food items (MRI’s) water water tablets animal food blankets & pillows tarps flashlights batteries personal sanitary items; soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste diapers & baby wipes paperback books & small toys for children medical supplies; bandaids of all sizes, rubbing alcohol, ace bandages...etc. Please share.
