We are getting so close!!!

B'nai Shalom Fellowship 15.01.2021

There was evening, and there was morning- a 45th day! Excitement is growing. Is today the day? When the sun burns off this morning’s dew will the Divine harves...ters begin to make their appearance in the wheat field of my life? Will it be today that they will come, scythes and sickles in hand, singing the Master’s sweet song of harvest? No one knows the day or the hour . . . but the question is, whenever that day comes, who - and whose assigned field - will have been made ready!

WHO ARE YOU? WHAT IS YOUR LINEAGE AND ITS STORY? AND WHERE DO YOU, YOUR CHILDREN, AND YOUR CHILDREN'S CHILDREN FIT IN THE GRAND REDEMPTIVE PLAN? Welcome to the ...study of the fourth book of Torah the Divinely inspired scroll known to the ancient world as Sefer B’midbar. Most English speakers know this supernatural chronicle by its English nickname, Numbers. It is time for sons and daughters of the Covenant to awaken to destiny. It is time for the am segulah of the Holy One to show its true beauty. It is time for the Kingdom of Priests to arise to the mission challenge. It is time for the Holy Nation to break free of the attitudinal, ideological, behavioral, and relational hindrances. It is time for the witness throng of B’nei Yisrael to testify to the world - by actions as well as words - of the Goodness, the Wisdom, the Mercy, and the Awesome Power of Elohei Avraham, Elohei Yitzchak, v’Elohei Ya’akov. It is time for the people of the Great King to stop with the excuses. It is time to lose the thin skin, shake off offense, and move forward. It is time for Comfort and Familiarity to yield to the higher calling of mission and destiny. It is time for settling for the first thing that brings a little pleasure to yield the floor to an unquenchable quest for the best the Holy One has laid up for us i.e. for that which no eye has seen, nor ear has heard, and the mind of man has not even been able to conceive. Read all about it in the Rabbi's Introductory Study for the week of parsha #34, Bamidbar. There was evening, and there was morning - a 44th day! Humility is an interesting quality. There is a gentleness and a shalom about it. Wisdom replaces opinion.... Understanding of the vanity and counter-productivity of offense squeezes out outrage. Thanksgiving displaces ranting. Serving others becomes the focus rather than using, controlling, or judging them. Is that finally happening in MY wheat field? I am noticing the strongest, best wheat I have is now bowing much lower toward the earth. The stalks in this 'forerunnner' patch appear to be drying up; the seedpods these stalks have produced are ripening, and opening up to the world further and further each day. And perhaps that is why today, just before sunrise, when the Master of the Harvest passed by, He stretched forth His Hand and plucked a head of grain right off of one of my forerunner stalks. He placed this head of grain between His Palms; then He rubbed His Hands together in circular motion. He then opened up His Hands and brought them up toward His Mouth. Then He pursed His lips, and blew on the grains of wheat. Away flew the chaff.! The Master of the Harvest then popped some of the pure grain that remained into His Mouth to see how solid they had become. Then He laughed softly to Himself; and as He walked away, to inspect another field, I heard Him humming an ancient - or was it eternal - song of the Harvest.

There was evening, and there was morning- a 43rd day! It is now just one short week until our Great Seven Sabbaths Journey concludes. In seven sunsets our seaso...n of radical re-leavening will culminate. Just one quarter phase of the moon from now the Master of the Harvest will present the evidence of the fruitfulness or the lack thereof of the wheat fields of our lives in the Courts of the King. It all comes down to this replica of 'Creation Week'. Seven Modeh Ani's. Seven shacharit's. Seven mincha's. Seven ma'ariv's. Twenty-one Kriyah sh'ma's and Shemonei Esrei's. And then . . . what comes next is up to us. May the fruit of all our fields be full of life-giving nourishment for the poor, the widows, the fatherless, and the estranged foreigners of earth. And may the fragrance of its burning be pleasing in the sight of our Master and our King.
