"THE SOURCE" is the prayer ministry of Breathe Life that has made the commitment to continue to pray for Brocton/Portland and Northern Chautauqua County BELIEVING that God is going to bring the POSSIBLE to the IMPOSSIBLE. They meet nearly every Monday to bring our prayers and requests to GOD fully believing HE IS at work in our community. This is a song of hope that there is a GOD who loves everything even into the smallest of places. He is the One who can do the impossible... in our lives. When "THE SOURCE" meets, we are asking for God's favor in the people, the community and the spiritual awakening to go to deep places to set people free. TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Responsible for utility billing; Receives and organizes work to be processed and recorded; Contacts clients, vendors, and/or insuranc...e carriers to obtain additional information or to update information; Answer telephone and take messages or provides callers with general information; Prepares stores and retrieves lists and documents; Updates and stores department forms on a computer using word processing software; Orders office supplies and maintains inventory of supplies and equipment; Sorts, date stamps and distributes mail and packages; Maintains alphabetic, numeric and/or chronological files of correspondence, documents and materials by coding and filing new material, searching for requested material and periodically purging obsolete material; Extracts compiles and maintains simple office and database reports; May serve as a receptionist and greet clients and/or visitors and provide general information; May enter and retrieve information using computer database/spreadsheet software; May perform routine keyboarding functions including preparing documents and forms using a typewriter or computer; May collect fees and account for monies received; May prepare and maintain time records and payroll data. FULL PERFORMANCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS: Working knowledge of modern office terminology, procedures, equipment and business English; working knowledge of the principles and practices of computerized records maintenance; ability to use a typewriter and computer keyboard; ability to perform close, detail work involving considerable visual effort and concentration; ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions; ability to maintain neat and legible records; ability to meet and deal with the public effectively; mental alertness; neat appearance; tact and courtesy; physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and six (6) months of clerical experience which shall have involved typing or computer data entry Position will start at part-time with the possibility of turning into full-time. We shove them beneath the surface for as long as possible, only to have them erupt on the freeway, in the classroom, or at home in a burst of physical or verbal retaliation. Our anger is rarely proportionate to the event. from john Eldridge’s book Desire Early this morning I was up a read this and really needed this reminder for my day. ... Whether by God’s Word or Inspired writings He shows up right on time. Praise the Lord he is always Faithful.

Today was our first wrap up with our EQUIP Intern, Neveah. It was an honor to have her serve with us in the back office learning tasks such as reconciling drawers, sales trackers, filing/administration and the view of seeing non-profit and for profit businesses coexist. Ms. James from Brocton Central School was a huge help in troubleshooting our first run on the program. This Monday Night will be our Christmas worship and prayer time at The Source. We will be singing Christmas songs and praying for God’s blessings, directions and peace for our communities during this Christmas season. We gather at 6:30 pm in the BreatheLife Resource room all are welcome to come. We will ask you be masked when you arrive and temperature will be taken at the door. Hope to celebrate with you.
