Timing is everything. I love this video. Thank you Carol Mo Campbell. It occurs to me as a hearing impaired person (who was also married to a drummer) how absolutely precise that the line up in the video clips must have been. It might look smooth to us, but tremendous hours must have gone on behind the scenes. This video is lots of hard work, as is our website per Panos Aps Cheers to all teachers. Please continue to thank our team and your team in the work that goes on behind the scenes. <3

What I saw brought me to tears... This is MY teacher. I have 66 more just like her. What YOU see is a teacher working on a screen with a class full of student...s on the other side of the screen. What I see ( and what you can’t see) is a teacher working on THREE computers, an additional keyboard, and a document camera ( think high tech overhead projector, for my friends who haven’t been in school for awhile. ) I am watching a 45 min lesson in her empty classroom today. She is constantly reminding students to leave their cameras on, to leave themselves muted so that everyone can hear. She is reminding parents not to answer for their children. She is asking DEEP questions and connecting with EVERY. SINGLE. KID. They are consistently saying her name wrong, and she smiles and responds with delight. You can FEEL her love for them in her voice and you can witness her patience as she teaches a lesson on similes, metaphors and onomonopeia. Her content is ON POINT and she delivers it seamlessly. She is driving instruction and meeting my expectations ( which is no small task if you know me ) She has at least 10 resource books within arms reach, and she has been at school for over an hour- yet her purse and lunch are still sitting on a counter near her workspace. Every single child is engaged. Every single one. She wasn’t trained in this. There is no degree or course in pandemic teaching. There isn’t a training she can take before she begins and there certainly aren’t any days to get ready. She isn’t paid overtime and is told daily... (mostly by me) that other duties as assigned now define her work days. she has taught face to face classes to cover in classrooms where we have no substitutes on the same days that she continues to show up for HER class of virtual students all day long... how is that possible? I have NO ever loving idea... but her and her team make it happen. She has done this for 6 weeks already, and in 3 more, students will make their choice of virtual or face to face again and she will start her routines over like it is a brand new school year. SO, if you doubt the heart of teachers, I want you to remember this post. They are not only checking off all the boxes and checklists, they are showing up for themselves, each other and their kids. They are bearing a HUGE weight in all of this that most of you will never comprehend, much less understand. If you know a teacher- continue to fill their buckets... every dang day... they need it every dang day. If you are one of my teachers- I could not be more proud of each of you! You make my heart sing and I SEE YOU.

Hey All! Be sure to download all of the PDFs for the EAS, ATSW etc. By this Monday!! On Monday Night it will turn to full paid membership. Get it now for free!!!... We love our loyal clients and want to make sure that we give out as much as we can for free. Unfortunately there are companies that continue to steal our intellectual property (which honestly would be fine if they gave it out for free as we were doing) and charge people exhorbitant fees to access. We want to try to keep everything as inexpensive and as accessible as possible. ALSO! We are developing a Forum that will allow people to vent, share experiences, and create community under Avatar names which will allow for anomymity in discussion. Thank you for helping us help you. We're all in this together.

Too good not to share. Little Kids are great!

I have seen quite a few ignorant comments posted on here about why are we paying teachers if the parents are teaching the kids. And I deserve the teachers sa...lary and Blah blah blah....well the teachers won’t say it, but I will....SHUT UP! This is my wife. She is a public school teacher. It’s 9:45 at night. She’s on the phone with guess who?... another teacher. Guess what they are doing? Re-writing all of their lesson plans...AGAIN. At the end of last year they were told they were going to have to teach from home for the remainder of the year. So guess what they did? They re-wrote every single lesson plan, they acquired and learned new software, they literally re-structured an entire education system in a freaking weekend. Then they followed through, not missing a beat. They stayed on zoom meetings with your children for hours and hours on end. Multiply that by every child in all of their classes. Then after they get off those meeting with your (I’m sure perfectly well behaved) children, they get on more meetings with each other on how they can do it better next time. Then they set new plans in place for the following day, and do it all over again. During this time That I’ve been observing this situation as not only a teachers husband, but as a father of two, I’ve not heard one teacher complain. Not once. Instead they pulled out their lap tops and went to work. Because they love your kids and want to give them the best opportunity to learn that they can. I know this situation is not not normal, I know it’s frustrating, and trust me, these teachers want to get back to normal more than anyone. They are working harder now than ever making sure your kids are taken care of. This is by no means a summer vacation. They have busted their butts off all last year, all summer, and I have no doubt that they will continue to this year as well. I wish this next part did not need to be said, but apparently it does...I’ll say it loud for the people in the back...IF YOURE JUST NOW FIGURING OUT THAT YOUR CHILDS EDUCATION IS PARTIALLY YOUR RESPONSIBILITY, AND THAT RESPONSIBILITY DOES NOT SOLELY BELONG TO TEACHERS, THEN YOU ARE, AND HAVE BEEN, DOING IT WRONG!!! Our government can’t figure out how to get basically anything done with a system that has been structured the same for hundreds of years now. Teachers re-structured an entire educational system in days...literally days. So if you are planning on cutting anymore of your state’s salaries, maybe teachers shouldn’t be our first stop on the map. So get your kids up, follow up with their work, and if they need help then open up a zoom meeting...guess who will be on the other end waiting with half brushed hair, a gallon of coffee, the small amount of makeup they were able to apply after getting their kids school work lined out for the day, probably a toddler trying to climb their head, and an inviting smile????? A TEACHER!!!!
