Meet Shift! It’s a new program we just launched with our partners at Insyte Consulting and Next Street that will help small & medium-sized manufacturers in WNY who recognize they need to innovate but are unsure of where to start. There is no cost to participate. Ready to learn more? Visit our new website www.shiftmfg.com
Our partners at Insyte Consulting created a photo contest to showcase the modern day manufacturing floor in honor of National Manufacturing Day. The submission deadline is September 8th and the winner gets $500!
We wrapped up two great weeks of STEM camp today with our capstone event. Students presented on careers they are interested in and showed family and friends the prosthetic hands they made during the camp. Thanks to everyone who helped make these two weeks possible including @nataliengrid, Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, Unyts - Donate Life UB Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences.
We are kicking off our summer Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus ACES Camp. Students from Buffalo Public Schools & other WNY school districts are spending two weeks 3D printing & assembling prosthetic hands. They are also learning about different careers right here on the BNMC. A big thanks to our partners UB's NYS Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics & Life Sciences, National Grid, Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus and Unyts - Donate Life for making this camp happen.
We are proud to partner with the University at Buffalo to help local manufacturers innovate and grow - watch this great video that UB put together after a recent visit to our facility. Read more here - http://bit.ly/2huVz2q
We were all inspired by the students who participated in our 2nd Annual 3D Print Competition. Students made wind turbines and rockets and had a great time testing them. Thanks to all the sponsors and partners who helped make this possible today: Praxair , National Gridi, Sherex Fastening Solutions LLC , Pfannenberg Incorporated, Staub Manufacturing Solutions, Rippl3D and Buffalo Museum of Science.
We were honored to accept the STEM Educator Award today at the Buffalo Business First 2017 Manufacturing Awards. Congrats to all the winners that are making a positive impact in our community and beyond. We're proud to play a small role in showing the next generation what a career in advanced manufacturing looks like!
Join the University at Buffalo's Department of Materials Design and Innovation at the Erich Bloch Symposium on May 31 - June 1. The meeting will explore grand challenges in engineering through interdisciplinary materials science research and education. Registration info is in the link below.
Our team is hard at work setting up our new Sciaky and getting it ready to start client work later this spring. This massive industrial metal 3D printer is an electron-beam, wire-fed, directed energy deposition system for additively manufacturing large parts. We’re looking forward to showing you what it can do!
We're excited to share this new Paget Films video that shows you how we worked with Bak USA to integrate cobots into the company's production floor. #EWI
