Well folks, it's another beautiful weekend out here at Golden Harvest Farms and Distillery on Route 9 in Valatie. In addition to the beautiful weather, I'm doing things a bit differently today. I had a little misfortune last night, but it seems to have been a happy accident (sort of like me). The smoker went out over night, so the pork butts were not ready to be pulled and sauced before I headed out. Oh no! I put them in the oven on the food truck to finish cooking, and let me tell you, the unsauced Naked Pig is a thing of beauty. It's the new normal. The sauces are available, but most of the customers so far say it's so good that it doesn't need any sauce. So be it. The NAKED PIG ROCKS!

Hey BBQ fans, the Q Mobile is rolling out for dinner later today. The food truck will be at The Bunker, 2390 Western Avenue in Guilderland. The Bunker crew will be serving up cocktails, and I will dishing out pulled pork, beef, chicken, along with corn bread, collards greens, baked beans, maple mashed sweet potatoes and Cole slaw. Planning on being there around 4:30 until 8pm. Hope to see you there!

Howdy folks! It's going to be a beautiful weekend, and once again, the Capital Q food truck is on the road! Same location as last week - Golden Harvest Farm/Harvest Distillery on State Rt 9 in Valatie. In addition to the normal Farmstand offerings, Harvest Distillery will have their mobile bar set up, selling an assortment of tasty beverages, and cocktails to go. Let me tell you, the Cornelius Applejack Sour is dangerously delicious! We will be there from noon until five, and tomorrow, too!

Hey there, BBQ fans! Just to let you know, the shop is still closed, but the Capital Q food truck is rolling out this weekend. We will be over at Golden Harvest Farms orchard and distillery on Rte. 9 in Valatie on Saturday and Sunday from noon until 5 pm. Come on by to pick up some apples, cider, donuts, a variety of distilled delights, and BBQ. It's going to be great day to get out of the house and get outside!

Back for a limited time, we've got the hoppin John! Rice, blacked eyes peas, fresh cut carrots and peppers with roasted garlic thrown in. Who's hungry yet?
