As we wrap up this historical month, we must not forget our Madam Vice President. She’s the United States first female Vice President, the first African American and the first Asian American to hold this seat. She started her career in Law and became Attorney General of California is 2011. She continued her journey of serving the people, by joining the Democratic Party as United States Senator representing California from 2017-2021. Thurgood Marshall was an American lawyer and civil rights activist who served as Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States. Marshall was the first African American to hold a seat on the Supreme Court Justice. After graduating law school, Thurgood Marshall started his private law practice. He than began his 25- year affiliation with NAACP, by representing the organization with discrimination cases. In 1967, Marshall was nominated to the Supreme Court and served on the court for 24 years. Although he’s best remembered for civil rights and criminal procedure, Marshall made significant contributions to other areas as well. #HappyBlackHistoryMonth !

Madam C.J. Walker was the first black women millionaire in America. She is known for her creation of homemade hair product for black women. After having a scalp disorder, Madam C.J Walker developed a method called the Walker system which involved scalp preparations, lotions, and iron combs. She sold her products directly to black women and built a million dollar empire. Walker was also known as a philanthropist, donating her fortune to fund scholarships for women at Tuskegee Institute and NAACP. #HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH!
