Professor Elora Mukherjee and her students in the Immigrants’ Rights Clinic worked with a coalition of advocates to secure the release of women who were subject to abusive medical procedures, including gynecological procedures, while detained by U.S. immigration authorities. Professor Suzanne Goldberg will join the leadership team of the Department of Education’s Office for Civil Rights.
