@oakvalehomes had a nice shot in their story of a railing we collaborated on awhile back. I handled the steel and they the wood top rail. Always a pleasure to work with that crew.

Just wrapped up this pair of solid brass soap dispensers. The adjustable bottom plate ensure the bottle stays put when in use.

It’s not often that I can get two things I fabricated in the same shot. Custom solid brass, backlit, ceiling mount mirrors and an aluminum shower enclosure with handmade brass hardware.

Out with the old, bolt together, flimsy railing, in with the modern and sturdy.

Delivery day for the canal house that can’t get enough Emerson James products. (Railing And bar also by yours truly.) Blackened steel and glass shelf.

More one of a kind hardware out the door today. Curved curtain rods for a project brought to us by @ro_homeshop blackened steel with satin lacquer.

Sometimes you have to make your latching hardware from scratch.

Freshly installed, simple modern aluminum railings in satin white. Though they may need some paint years from now the railings themselves will last a lifetime.

Brass! Brass! Brass! The sconces to match the mirror from last week were installed today. Designed by yours truly. These are in raw brass and will patina over time, or can be kept shiny with a little elbow grease every now and again.

This range hood is out the door tomorrow. One of the more interesting ones I’ve done to date. I love this steel trim I tracked down and can’t wait to use products like it on future projects.

I may have to make a raw brass mirror for my own home. Such a dynamic material.

Sometimes odd solutions are required for unforeseen issues. This doorstop I designed prevents 2 different doors from destroying each other. The u shape of each side of the stop also provides a bit of a natural spring.

Fitting a flat hinge on a round tube? No problemo.

Everyone’s run into that issue of that nice shower caddy rusting out after a while. There’s a fix for that: fabricate from brass and have some shower shelves that could become heirlooms.

Want to avoid having to worry about rust? Go with aluminum railings: paintable, patina-able, and rust free always.

Got to install some designs of my own at the canal project (Emerson James railings in the background.) A brass asymmetrical spiral with red oak led arms. Also some square flush mount lanterns with seeded glass. Can’t wait to get the rest of the units on this project wrapped up.
