Hello All, Here we are once again starting to enter the year end holiday season. For so many this has been the year from hell! COVID has touched all of us in many different ways. For those of you who contracted it and were very fortunate to overcome it - Bless You. For those that have lost family, friends and loved ones to Covid - you have our most deepest sympathies. 2020 is certainly not a year any of us want to do over. Please remember that your neighbors, families... and friends feel the same way as we do. With this in mind I cannot urge you enough to keep track of your friends and neighbors, as well as your family. We know that entering the next 6-8 weeks can be very overwhelming for so many. This is one of the greatest times of rise in depression, suicide and other illnesses to surface. Please take the time to be considerate of others. While so many will be worrying about the perfect gift to buy - please let everyone take a moment to share peace with our fellow man or woman. Be thankful that you, your families, friends and co-workers have made it thru this far and are still here. Don't be afraid to shake their hands, give them a hug or just tell them you are thankful for them. So many of us are blessed and do not realize or acknowledge we are. From all of us at the FLREMSC members, instructors, and staff - have a truly thankful holiday season ahead. May you truly be blessed. Don't forget to wear your masks so we can get through the rest of the year and into next safely and healthy. See more

We are looking to offer a CEVO (Coaching the Emergency Operator) Class. How many of you would be looking to take this course? There would likely be a minimal cost.

Hello To All!!! We have a few announcements to make. In an attempt to get the word out to as many as possible we are using all of our resources. We hope all of you are staying safe and healthy. Keep up the good work. We will get through this and come out on the other end better than before. Fall Classes have been posted to Facebook. Quick overview is: Basic EMT Originals to be held at FLREMSC, Cheshire FD, Ontario Ambulance. ... Basic EMT Refreshers are worked in the originals and there is a separate Basic Refresher/Core at the Phelps FD. Those who want just the refresher and/or core, Phelps is the place to go. If you have someone interested be sure to get on the stick with them to get their names into the office. Some classes begin August 31st and under new regulations from DOH we can only hold the class open 7-10 days to get them registered with DOH. Very little wiggle room! I ask that you register your folks as quickly as possible. Because of COVID we have to restrict the number of students that can attend based on the size of the classroom, lab space, etc. So don't wait until the last minute. We are offering an AEMT course again this fall. Starts September 20th. Applications are up on the website or contact the office and we will get one to you. Paramedic Applications are ready for January 2021 at FLCC. I know folks are a little nervous about the return of COVID, but is you are interested be sure to give Jake Harman or myself a call. Once last thing - due to COVID and the testing/questioning that is done to folks who enter buildings, FLCC has designated the front door (near the flag pole) as the only entry way for the Geneva Campus. Those coming in the past to the EMS Office have been able to enter through doors on the far end. We cannot do that any longer. So, if you are coming to drop off paperwork, pick up paperwork or equipment or just coming to visit you will have to go through the front doors and come down to our office. I know this seems inconvenient, but we have to go with DOH regulations. There you will have a form to complete regarding all the questions asked at every place. Any questions to this, give me a call.
