What happens if a septic tank is not pumped? If you don’t pump your septic tank regularly (every 3-5 years, although that range may shorten or lengthen depending on a few factors) a few things happen: Sludge builds up.... The buildup begins seeping into the drain field, contaminating the field and possibly the groundwater. Pipes get clogged and break. Pumps get clogged and break. Unfortunately for the people that would like a restroom while playing tennis, pickle Ball or softball will never have one at this site again. We have informed the town that we will no longer supply a Portable Toilet in this location anymore. Just Sad... Some person came home with White or Black paint all over themselves because the other side of the toilet is painted with black paint. This was at Kaegebien School so if anyone has any info that is helpful please contact Grand ...Island Waste Mgmt. 774-0418. Just so we are clear, I see people saying it's just paint and why take it. Because this is a reoccurring issue at Kaegebien. In the past I have had them burnt to the ground by someone in this area. And in the end that is why I pulled it. When they are burnt to the ground I cannot fix that and it's very expensive to replace. They are always being damaged in this location year after year. If the Town would put cameras up and monitor this school then it could be revisited. See more
