Enjoyed my tour with teachers from Israel. I learned so much about Jewish immigrants who came in the mid-1800s & made many contributions to life in Rochester, including an impressive presence in the clothing industry. Temple Israel was the most distinguished Shul in Rochester during the late 1800s.
