Check out the third year doctoral students from the LI AuD Consortium tabling at the Hofstra University student center to raise awareness about music and noise induced hearing loss as part of their Current Issues class with Dr. Aniruddha Deshpande. People passing through the student center were asked to take a quick myth or fact quiz about different aspects of hearing health and in return were awarded with free ear plugs! Over 100 people who stopped at the table walked away with more knowledge about how damaging loud music and noise can be to their hearing, ways to protect their hearing, and if they were interested in a hearing evaluation to visit the audiology clinic at the Saltzman Center right on campus!
