Meghan Regan, creator of the Tulip Project and her fantastic volunteer paid a welcome visit to the Heritage Home for Women today with thoughtful gifts, personal cards, beautiful homemade hot beverage coasters and scrumptious cheesecakes, compliments of the amazing bakers at Misses Kisses Pies. Wow! Our Residents, Staff and I can't thank you enough for your kindness and the treats!

Peter Harris Clothes in Latham is amazing! The "Wishing Tree" was wonderful. Through the generosity of Peter Harris' staff and customers, the Residents of the Heritage Home for Women had many of their wishes come true. Our Residents cannot thank you all enough for your gifts and for your tremendous holiday spirit.

Oh my goodness! To all of the gracious members of Schenectady Business and Professional Women's Club...words simply cannot convey our appreciation. Everyone’s kind and generous gifts to our Residents, are absolutely amazing!!! Our Residents LOVED them! The holidays have been extraordinarily difficult for our Ladies. Your thoughtfulness will definitely make them so much better. Bless you all! Thank you! Thank you!

The Heritage Home for Women has an important update! As of December 23, 2020, Resident visitations will be temporarily on hold and Residents will not be able to have visitors. The Home hopes to re-open soon to visitations. The only exception to these guidelines would be if a resident was on hospice or receiving end of life care. Ensuring our residents are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our greatest concern. We will continue to be vigilant and strive to kee...p our residents, staff and visitors COVID free. In the meantime, we encourage you to continue to connect with your loved ones here via phone calls, a scheduled Facetime or Zoom visit through our IPad, a card or a letter Thank you for your continued cooperation, support and understanding as we continue to navigate life together through this pandemic. The Heritage Home for Women Staff are the absolute best! Thank you all for the fabulous "Bosses Day" surprises. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to work here with you for our Residents.

Thank you to everyone who recently donated books and word games to us, for the Residents of the Heritage Home for Women! We are not collecting any more donations of books for the time being. The book shelves throughout the building are completely chock full of wonderful books and games to engage the Ladies, who are thoroughly enjoying them all.

All is well at the Heritage Home for Women. In fact, as of Monday, September 14, 2020, the Home will be re-open to pre-scheduled visitations. Our Residents LOVE to read and over the last few months they have quickly poured through the Heritage Home's collection of books! So, we are gratefully, accepting book donations at this time. If you have any new or "gently used" mysteries, biographies or romance novels that you would be willing to share with us, we would truly appreciate it. Our Residents also really enjoy keeping their minds sharp with puzzle and word search books.
