Good morning, Hogan's Hut fans! It's the first day of Trout Season here in Chautauqua County and boy oh boy - do we have some exciting news to share with you. ... After careful thought and consideration, we have decided to convert our Bait & Tackle room into a BEAUTY SALON! We want to remain true to our roots, so we plan to keep the fishing theme and decor - our salon will be called "Reel Beauty." (See what we did there?) Walleye Anglers! We hope you have enjoyed the day so far fishing the tournament. Just a reminder that if you are bringing a fish in for measurement this evening you MUST be at Hogans by 7pm sharp! Current leader is 23 3/4 inches. Good luck to everyone finishing out the day !

For everyone wondering the conditions on the lake! The lake is still open water everywhere north of Bemus. The top picture is across from Long Point looking north. Second picture is Burtis Bay and third picture is at the Stow Ferry looking into Bemus Bay. South of the the 86 bridge is all ice covered but not safe for fishing quite yet. We are expecting lows in the upper teens the next few days and no significant snowfalls so we will update again this weekend. We currently have Emerald shiners, fatheads and medium size golden shiners for anyone fishing open water or nearby lakes! We have spikes and wax worms as well. We have all the essentials for ice fishing for anyone getting ready, including spud bars which will be important to check the ice! Stop by and see us at The Hut!
