Islip Animal Shelter and Adopt-a-Pet Center 14.11.2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our adoption procedures have changed. Our new procedures are as follows: First view our animals on our facebook page under photos, on Petfinder.com or Adopt-A-Pet.com. If you are interested in any of our animals, email us at [email protected] and we will send you an application to complete. When you email the application back to us, please list the dog/dogs name and tag number. ... Once the application is complete and we have all the proper paperwork, we will contact you to make an appointment to come see the animal. Appointments will be spread out so we don't have two families here at once. All introductions and meet-and-greets will be done outside. We thank everyone for your patience, understanding, and support through this difficult time. Everyone stay safe and healthy!

Kiera is our longest resident at the shelter. She has been with us since May of 2018.She doesn't understand why she has been here so long. She is a very sweet, playful, 6-7 year old Pit who thinks she's a lap dog. She likes her exercise, to be around her favorite humans, and is gentle taking treats. She has been a favorite with our volunteers and loves the attention she gets from anyone she meets. Kiera does need to be the only animal in the home, but we know there is someone out there willing to give her a chance and the loving forever home she deserves. Let's make Halloween the last holiday she spends in the shelter! She is dressed up and ready to meet her special humans. Email us at [email protected] for an application or call us to answer any questions, phone #631-224-5660
