Save the date for this "double feature" which will focus on lead poisoning prevention in old homes and Kingston's residential rehab program. The Ulster County ...Department of Health and the City of Kingston's Office of Economic and Community Development will both be providing very valuable information. Owners and tenants of older homes are especially encouraged to attend. Organized by the Kingston Historic Landmarks Preservation Commission.

Friends: We had an excellent turnout at last night's preservation workshop. Over 30 people attended, and everyone participated in the discussion. Here is the ...video of the session. Mayor Noble and the city staff who attended (Planning Director Suzanne Cahill and Communications Director Megan Weiss) were very supportive of the work we are doing and had great suggestions for us. A big thanks to all! See more

Friends: This is a great event to attend, and volunteer docents are also needed! The Wallkill Valley Land Trust's 6th Annual House Tour in Lloyd takes place on June 6. They need volunteers to serve as docents in the various houses on the tour. Docents are assigned to a room or area of a house and act as guides while also protecting the property. There are two shifts, AM and PM. All volunteers receive a free ticket to take the tour after or before their respective shift. Contact Jose Moreno-Lacalle, WVLT Docents Coordinator, at 845-255-6133.
