In a 2020 survey, Vice Media found that as many as 41 per cent of Gen Z respondents identify as neutral on the gender spectrum. This is translating into how they buy clothes: 56 per cent of Gen Z consumers already shop outside of their gender (or cross-buy), ignoring clothing labels and gendered sections, according to marketing agency Wunderman Thompson. Brands and retailers need to understand that Gen Z don’t think of themselves in terms of boxes or binaries. And they don’t want brands to either, says Emily Safian-Demers, the agency’s senior trends analyst. https://www.voguebusiness.com//has-the-gen-z-gender-neutra
Does equestrian fashion also have a responsibility to take such info into account?
The crux of the story is revealed in the teaser. A middle-aged single man, a bank employee, dreams about meeting a horse without a tail and when he wakes up, he finds that he has the tail attached to his body.
Hey look! A horse helps make a #bookoftheyear @barnesandnoble
Awaken the child in you and pluck up the courage to do what you always only dreamed of doing with this inspirational film by Pearson Media Group.
Also expected next year: Vanishing Knowledge, a documentary film by Ejaz Kahn that shares the story of the horses, along with the story of the Kuntzs, McGowan and others working to preserve their legacy. Meanwhile, McGowan continues to focus on the day-to-day aspects of preserving the species, both here and in North Dakota.
This leather crafter's workmanship is downright angelic @ Mary AnnToinette
The stable at the bottom of Karen’s condo is now at the centre of her latest artistic adventure. She’s capturing the gift of living history at Cundell’s by using her gifts with a paintbrush.
He wanted to create something unique, that would attract attention at his small studio set up on the grounds of the Lake Placid/I Love NY horse shows. The richest families of America send their children and horses there to compete. The painting indeed become the talk of the show and Underhill received a number of commissions to paint portraits of the rich and famous until a New York art critic pronounced him conventional. His portrait commissions dried up. He and his wife, Barbara, moved to Florida, and he turned his artistic attention to painting dragons and monsters. In an interview with the Sarasota Herald-Tribune in 1998, Underhill said he detested those who hired him to paint their portraits. I couldn’t understand why people wanted to see themselves pictured on their walls.
The book, in Mackesy’s words, is a small graphic novel of images and conversations over a landscape. Think the nostalgia of A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh married to the earnestness of Michael Bond’s Paddington Bear, complete with gorgeous calligraphic illustrations. Much like Pooh, it follows the journey of the titular characters, set off by a chance meeting of the young boy and the mole. The two strike up an unlikely friendship as they wander through the wilderness, swapping pieces of insight and encouragement. Midway through their journey, the duo meet a fox caught in a snare. Despite the danger, the mole takes a leap of faith to rescue the fox, before embracing a horse as yet another member of their motley crew.
