Check out the Golisano Construction Technology Training Program, designed to expose participants to scalable aspects of the Building Trades. This six-week curriculum offers classroom and experiential learning through interactive labs and field work. Participants will gain OSHA 10 certification and learn the following trades: Roofing; Window & Door Installation; Siding; Plumbing; Pipe fitting; Electrical Wiring; Drywall & Finishing; Painting. All participants will graduate with a full set of tools and introductions to local companies in the construction field. APPLY BY JANUARY 22, 2021 for the class beginning February 8th.

Two Livingston County Economic Development staff members, Louise Wadsworth and Maureen Wheeler, have become certified Facilitators to teach the Destination Creation Course, a class designed to help business owners increase their revenue and customer traffic during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. Livingston County Economic Development i...s applying for New York Main Street grant funding to assist downtown property owners with transformative building renovations. Interest from building owners will strengthen our application and increase our chances of being funded! Do you have a project that you would like to complete in 2021? If approved, you could receive up to 75% reimbursement of your eligible project costs. We are seeking transformative projects not just regular maintenance. FREE DRIVE-THRU COVID-19 RAPID TESTING: The Livingston County Department of Health will be providing free drive-thru COVID-19 rapid testing with same day results for Livingston County residents only. Testing will be available on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 10AM 12PM at 10 Murray Hill Drive in Mount Morris. No appointments are necessary, and testing will be available until supplies are depleted. ***YOU WILL NEED TO BRING PHOTO ID*** In order to expedite the testing process, please visit the Livingston County website at www.livingstoncounty.us/172 to complete and print an intake form.
