What a headache this one was!. Picked up this "little" rug (12 X 24) a couple of weeks ago, This rug was lost and one member of the family was able to recover it and now she wants it cleaned.The rug was specifically made for her father, who use to be a rug dealer, so you can imagine the sentimental value attached to this rug. I think it is a Kerman, but not so sure, I haven't seen many Kerman rugs that look like this one. Upon inspection I noticed a couple of worn areas and s...ome light discoloration in two or three spots.Not bad, right? Well, that was until I soaked the rug with water, then, the hell broke loose. The smell of sulfates was overpowering, orange and yellow spots galore, all of this stuff wasn't visible when the rug was dry. It took quite of few hours of soaking and flushing to remove all of that stuff and all of the detergent that packed into this rug. In the end the customer was very happy and very appreciative of all the effort that was put into saving this rug. See more

This is the reason why I don't think that it is a good idea to have your rug(s) cleaned in your home. There is no way that I will be able to remove all of that stuff in your house, rugs have to be taken out to a plant where they can be properly dusted and washed.

After a nice long bath we were able to free this rug from some pet "issues" and bring it back to its original beauty.
