Firehouse update!!! The old quarters are being torn down piece by piece. Minor bumps in the road have caused some minor delays and a few walls that were to preserved to be added to the demolition plan. But overall we are making progress toward a safer and updated station to serve the community for many years to come

Massapequa fire department had a basement fire last night. Engine company 5 and ladder company six were the first line and truck through the door. Heavy fire met crews in the kitchen and the basement. All occupants were out prior to our arrival. Photos all from Paul Mazza

Happy Thanksgiving! Today our members made our annual drop off of food and gift cards to supermarkets...they were divided between 2 local food pantry’s. Just another example of how these local volunteers don’t stop giving back to the community after the alarms

This week we had a chance to bring Isabella to Unqua school. Isabella was a District in last years Fire Prevention Poster contest. Due to school closing early last year she did not have a chance for her ride to school. Great job Isabella!

Massapequa engine 6315 stood by with Seaford Fire Department and Wantagh Fire Department this weekend at Bellmore Volunteer Fire Department HQ while they ran a fundraiser for a departed member. We went on two alarms during the 8 hour period
