On Friday, April 30th, at 2:30 pm, the Mount Vernon Community will have an inaugural public and educational community tree planting at the Hartley Park Gazebo, 255 Gramatan Avenue. Rain date: Monday, May 3rd, 2:30 pm. A Native Swamp White Oak will be planted, thanks to donations by the Bronx River Sound Shore Audubon Society.
