Let your friends & family know: they have the right to bring an interpreter to the polling booth with them. Interpreters, who are friends or family, may help communicate with poll workers and help translate the ballot. In a major milestone and in a sign that New York City's organizing efforts and investments have been transformative, as of October 17, New York City registered a historic 61.8% self-response rate to the #2020Census, a figure that far outpaced most major cities in the United States, as well as the Census Bureau’s own pre-COVID estimate for self-response in the New York City area, which was 58%.
