DVS Commissioner James Hendon's remarks recognizing #ServiceMembers who are currently deployed abroad: Today - on the Day of the Deployed - our nation honors those courageous Service Members who are serving abroad. We also recognize the special sacrifice that their family and their loved ones make to ensure our nation’s safety and security. At the New York City Department of Veterans’ Services, we have three staff members who are currently deployed and are living up to that highest example of selflessness. We think of them every day and look forward to their safe return, as well as that of all who are currently overseas, protecting the freedoms that we enjoy. #DayoftheDeployed
