Sorry for the lengthy post- but, some may know while others don’t..our Dad was recently diagnosed with adenocarcinoma, which is a form of lung cancer. They foun...d a tumor on his lung, 3 in his esophagus, and most recently, one on his brain. He will need to travel to Binghamton everyday for treatments. With this being said, Roma’s in Oxford is hosting a give back night to help raise money for his travel expenses and medical bills. Congratulations to the Village of Oxford Fire Department!! They recently finalized a contract to add a brand new Pierce Enforcer PUC Rescue Pumper to their flee...t! This will be the department’s first PIERCE, and we’re confident it won’t be their last! The Village of Oxford is located between Binghamton and Utica, alongside the Chenango River, and the Fire Department provides Fire and EMS services to over 3200 people spanning 133 square miles! That’s quite an area when taking into consideration that OFD is fully staffed by Volunteers! The Employee Owners here at Churchville Fire Equipment wish to join salesman Joe Shoemaker in thanking The Village of Oxford's Mayor, Terry Stark, as well as the entire Village Board, Fire Chief Ron Martin, and the OFD’s truck committee! Many hours were invested by these individuals, ensuring that this new truck is built to serve the Village of Oxford for many years to come! We’re excited to welcome them to the Pierce Family!! Just a few of the features of this PUC include a 1000 gallon water tank, hatch compartments, a Wilburt light tower, TAK-4 Suspension, remote control deluge, and Husky 3 foam system!
