The Rochester Building & Construction Trades Council, an association of 18 individual trades whose mission is to support the working men and women of the local construction industry, announced today that it had voted unanimously to endorse Rep. Louise Slaughter (DNY25), Rep. Dan Maffei (DNY24) and current Tompkins County Legislator Martha Robertson (DNY23) in their respective Congressional races. According to Dave Young, Jr., President of the RBCTC and Business Manager of ...IBEW Local #86, the decision was the right one for New York’s hardworking men and women, and for the construction industry as a whole. The Rochester Building & Construction Trades Council is pleased to announce its endorsement of Congressional candidates Louise Slaughter, Dan Maffei and Martha Robertson. These three elected representatives have an outstanding relationship with local unions and their members throughout the 23rd, 24th and 25th Congressional districts, and their proLabor voting records speak for themselves. An early endorsement of these candidates was an easy call for our council. See more

FAIR trade policy, brought to you by Congresswoman Louise Slaughter (D-NY).
On Saturday, September 21st, members of UA Local 13 once again gave up their mornings to make sure local seniors are ready for winter. It was all part of their annual Heat’s On program, a collaboration of contractors and the union to check on the furnaces of at-risk neighbors to ensure that when the snow starts, no one will be left out in the cold. Great work, Local 13!
The Rochester Labor Council and Rochester Building & Construction Trades Council stand in solidarity as they endorse Lovely Warren in the race for Mayor in the City of Rochester.
