May 24, 2021 - Upon New York State's adoption to follow CDC guidelines on May 19th, Saratoga Botanicals Organic Spa & Store has chosen to continue to ask our guests and employees to wear masks into the business. We are taking the next 30 days to assess whether there are correlated spikes in COVID-19 cases and related issues with the new relaxed CDC mask guidance. We ask for your patience as we take this time to assess the risks. Our proximity and hands on contact with our gu...ests puts our therapists in a place of risk, and we do not want to jeopardize either our guest's or our employee's safety. We also recognize that the COVID-19 vaccination was approved for emergency use and has not gone through the normal rigor of testing required for most drugs, and that vaccinated individuals can still get COVID despite having received the vaccine. This fact alone has us erring on the side of caution. We ask that all of our vaccinated and unvaccinated patrons to continue to follow our safety protocols and the mandates that New York State has in place for our industry. We have heard of other spas going back to business as normal. Even though NY has relaxed mask use mandates, strict rules and mandates continue for our industry. As of today and per our conversations with the Department of Health, no additional changes have been made to our industry to allow for spas to go back to business as usual.
