It appears that we are headed for an uphill battle in the Town of Greece. The Greece Town Board has made an unprecedented move against housing for seniors by refusing to hear our application for rezoning on Hunter’s Crossing. We have met with them countless times, revised plans, had two public information meetings (which by the way did not bring ONE person out who was opposed to the project), turned over countless letters of support from Greece residents, and were told to sub...mit our plans. The matter was reviewed by the Greece Town Board at their June 11,2014 Agenda Review meeting and placed on the Agenda for the June 17th Town Board Meeting. When they got to the item #14 on June 17th, neither Town Board Members Christodaro or Barry made a motion. There was dead silence. When the Town Clerk did not hear any response, she proceeded to move on to item #15. At that point the Supervisor interrupted the group and asked for a motion on item #14. When he did not get a response, he declared the motion had failed. In my opinion, this was a classic case of rehearsed democracy. The problem I have is that I know there is no public opposition and an overwhelming demand for good senior housing. See more

We are looking for support from Town of Greece Residents. We are planning another public information meeting in the next couple of weeks. Meanwhile, please "like" our letter if you support quality housing for a growing demand by seniors.
