Today is National Black Cat Day and we could not let the day pass by without giving recognition and celebrating these fabulous felines! Black kitties certainly need some positive PR as their reputation as an omen of bad luck is well-known and truly unearned. Representing the black kitties here at SVH are Dr. Sun's girls, Alice & Pearl. Be sure to celebrate these lovable, furry friends with us by sharing pix of your black kitties! Here are the Halloween Costume Contest Entries for 2020!!!! Beginning today until midnight on October 31st, be sure to vote for your favorite costumed critter by 'LIKING' their photo on this post! We are very happy to officially welcome Dr. Carolyn Sumner to our practice! Dr. Sumner graduated from the University of Florida with a Bachelor's degree in Zoology in 2009. She continued on to receive her veterinary degree from Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. Dr. Sumner then completed a rotating internship at the Veterinary Medical Center of Central New York. In her time away from being a DVM, she greatly enjoys traveling, board games with friends, video games, and movies. At home, Dr. Sumner has a rescued pitbull mix named Bean.

Our technician, Brooke, was very excited to meet this sweet little lady named Caroline when she came in for very first visit. Coincidentally, Brooke has a very sweet little tan pitty mix who's name is also Caroline! #pittylove

We would like to wrap up our tech week celebration by giving our amazing support team of LVTs and veterinary assistants much deserved recognition for all of their hard work and dedication to our patients, clients and our practice during this year of unknown territory that we have been working through. They have jumped right in ready to accept our new ways of doing everything and all of the challenges that come with it! We cannot thank this strong group enough for their continued unwavering dedication and support. Doing what we do each day would not be possible without them!
