All is right in my world again Cayugas and East Indies!
Yesterday was a rough day here. We lost our entire flock of ducks. Everything is gone . A stray dog made it into the pen overnight and wiped them all out. This could have had a much different outcome for the owner but I showed some restraint (if you know me ). We have met with each other and have talked things over. Unfortunately some of these ducks just can't be replaced.
Just enjoying some grass while they can.
First chicks of the year! Black Old English. I think Casey is going to have more OEGB's than I have Cochins
The ducks could care less about the snow
One of the spring hatch mottled split pullets. I'm keeping my eye on this one
Can't forget the last of this year's Rouen ducklings with "mom". Cochins are the best
The pea chicks are getting big. I know for sure that we have a Black shoulder pair but I'm not sure what the little pied chick is yet Oh, and they still hang out with "mom" except the older 2 roost with the bigger birds at night now
I haven't posted in a while. The pair of Rouens hatched in April are huge and even nicer than mom and dad. We have 4 new ducklings that are growing like weeds and of course I have high hopes for them
This guy always makes me stop and stare. That lacing
Pea chicks and "mom"
Since I'm taking baby pics
