Did you hear that sound? what is it? It's the sounding of the Shofar calling us to prayer. Please celebrate and join with our Hebrew friends in the Jewish New Year celebration of Rosh Hashanah. This 2 day celebration is spent in Temple and at home in a time of introspective prayer. We examine our spiritual life of the year before, our relationship with God and each other. We Look inside for where we can repent, forgive and reconcile ourselves to others and with God. We ...acknowledge the sovereignty of God in time and space. A good idea any day We have the same spiritual practices during our time of Lent. The Rosh Hashanah celebration continues for another 8 days, known as The Days of Awe, until Yom Kippur, the highest holy day in Judaism. This is the time the book of life is opened and names are engraved. So, dip some apples in honey and may you celebrate fully for a sweet new Year- L"shanah Tovah-Pastor Bridgette See more
