This afternoon Mrs. Fountains’s class at Van Rensselaer Elementary presented a check for $175 to the American Heart Association in honor of Connor and Aubree. C...onnor is our 2019 Capital Region Heart Walk & Run Heart Hero and Aubree is an attendee at the school. Both were born with a congenital heart defect. Several members of the Rensselaer Elks Club made their annual visit to our third grade classrooms to distribute dictionaries to the students. Thank you to Lawrence Rowse, Linda Rowse, Liz Roberts, and Dave Hilker for joining us this afternoon. The boys and girls appreciated your generosity and your willingness to discuss the different types of information contained in the dictionary.
