The Village will start flushing fire hydrants tomorrow, November 19th and continuing on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. If you have discolored water, let the cold water run until clear. Thank you for your patience.

Paving will start tomorrow morning, Thursday November 5th on West St. between Delaware St. and Mead St. Please obey directions and use an alternative routes.

Cobleskill Stone will be grinding West St. tomorrow, October 2nd, starting at 7:00 a.m. Please use an alternate route when possible.

The regular meeting of the Board of Trustees will be held on Monday, October 5th at 6:00 p.m. There will be a public hearing to receive public opinion on the residency requirement for the Deputy Clerk-Treasurer. The meeting will be held via ZOOM audio. If you would care to submit written questions regarding the Local Law amendment before the meeting you can submit them by dropping them off at the Village Hall, by email to [email protected], or fax to 607-865-4327. The last day to pay the October water/sewer bill without penalty is November 4th. A 10% penalty will be added on Thursday, November 5th.

Reminder: The Village election is today at the Village Hall from noon until 9:00 p.m.

The Village of Walton has the following job opportunities available: Code Enforcement Official, part-time Substitute Crossing Guard Cleaner for Village Hall If interested, please submit an employment application to the Village Hall by October 30th. Village Election on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from noon until 9:00 p.m. in the Village Boardroom. Please wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.

The fourth quarter water/sewer bills have been sent out. They are due when rendered. Last day to pay without a penalty is November 4th.

The last day to pay the July water/sewer bill without an additional penalty is Thursday, September 3rd. Delinquent statements will be mailed out on September 4th.

The Village of Walton is excited to announce that there will be summer recreation programs starting as of July 13th there will be a few guidelines for everyone's safety we ask that all participates bring their own face covering... Arts & Crafts Monday - Thursday (9 am - 12 pm) Basketball (instructional only) Monday - Thursday (9 am - 12 pm) Field Hockey (instructional only) Monday - Thursday (9 am - 12 pm) Participates are require to bring their own stick and ball The Village Swimming Pool is open at this time at 25% capacity. Patrons must wear mask in pool area not required while swimming Hand Sanitizer will be offered on premises All patrons entering the pool must sign in with name and phone number (failure to do so will be denied entrance to pool area) No tables and chairs will be provided benches affixed to the concrete will be sanitized No food will be permitted only beverages will be allowed Pool Hours Monday - Friday 11:00-12:30 1:00 - 2:30 3:00 - 4:30 5:00 - 6:00 (Adult Swim) 6:30-8:00 Saturday & Sunday 1:00 - 2:30 3:00 - 4:30 5:00 - 6:00 (Adult Swim) 6:30 - 8:00 Half hour breaks between swim times will be used for patrons to leave pool area and to sanitize all shared areas On behalf of the Village of Walton we wish everyone a safe and healthy summer!!
