Many kinds of animals make great companions such as pigs and chickens. Ms. Sandy Sasso my nephew Harry has a pet pig named Lucy and a pet chicken too.

Did you know that pigs could swim? I hope you enjoy this silly video of them swimming and enjoying the beach. Have a terrific rest of the summer. I will see you in September.

Some facts about pigs.

This is Pippin. She is actually a therapy pig. She loves to visit people at hospitals, schools, and nursing homes. Your assignment for today is: if you could pick a therapy animal would you pick a dog, a mini horse or a pig? Give plenty of details why you would choose that particular animal.

This week we have learning about all different breeds of pigs. The pigs today are domestic pigs. Sometimes these pigs are also called swine or hogs. These pig are mostly for eating unlike the other pigs we have been seeing that people keep for pets. (These pigs I filmed are at a rescue where they save animals)
