The Architecture + Education Program uses architecture concepts to teach students in the Buffalo Public Schools math, science, history, art, and technology within Common Core Curriculum, while raising awareness and appreciation of the built environment.

Please join The Buffalo Architecture Foundation to celebrate our students’ work from the 2019-2020 Architecture + Education Program. The Architecture + Education Program uses architecture concepts to teach students in the Buffalo Public Schools math, science, history, art, and technology within Common Core Curriculum, while raising awareness and appreciation of the built environment. Local architects and designers paired with university students and public school teachers have been working hard with students the past four months. Come join us to celebrate all of the achievements from this fall’s program! This year’s participants include over 240 students from PS #32 Bennett Park Montessori, PS 37 Futures Prep, PS 50 North Park Community, PS 92 B.U.I.L.D. Community, PS #212 Leonardo da Vinci High School, University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning Students, and volunteer professionals from 12 of Buffalo’s architecture design firms. The Buffalo Architecture Foundation was formed in July, 2010 to promote among the residents of the Greater Buffalo region an increased awareness and appreciation of architecture by disseminating information about the field of architecture, to encourage and foster excellence in design, and to support efforts to preserve the architectural heritage of the region by informing the public about the nature and importance of that heritage.

Join us tonight for Allentown First Friday Gallery Walk! We will be open 6-9pm | On view: Anastasia Komarova // The Shape of Time. Many other galleries and shops will be open on Allen Street and other festivities on Allen include carriage rides, a tree lighting and holiday song as we bring in the season.
