This hymn, a prayer that we all might have a "place called home," is by Michael Joncas, set on the beloved tune FINLANDIA by Jean Sibelius.

Our Hymn this week celebrates the boldness of Martin Luther, who posted his famous "Disputation" on the church door in Wittenberg, Oct. 31, 1517. He dared to speak out against the injustice he saw in church and culture. He wrote "A Mighty Fortress is our God," with similar boldness. In these days, may we take to heart its words, "...and though this world with devils filled should threaten to undo us, we will not fear for God has willed God's truth to triumph through us." May it be so.
