Welcome to Women's Day, this month we celebrate all women and will be addressing some that changed history. To kickstart this month, the Women's Day started back in 1909 in New York City. The day acknowledges the one-year since garment workers' march, where 15,000 women marched through lower Manhattan. This month focuses on the challenges that women faced while working in various conditions with low pay, harsh environments and tragedy that led to historical events, including... the Triangle Shirtwaist Company infamous for its fire that killed 145 women. In the light of Black History Month, the moment we celebrate the dedication of many activists. When NYC is fully back up running, there are various spots across the city you can visit to rejoice the memories. New York has been a prominent place of African American history preserving it's culture, art, education and most important the historical impacts still pursued in places such as Harlem. Harlem Studio Museum: The museum became home to African American artists during the push for the world of culture. Young artists and artists of color contribute pop art, minimalism, conceptual art, traditional art and culture. In the light of exploration, the museum was always seen as a place to narrate black presence.
