12 North CrossFit

Recent events in the CrossFit world have caused a stir not only in the community of CF but my heart and mind as well. If you do not know what I am talking about just Google it and you will find the answer. For those of you that know what I am talking about then post is to outline our position moving forward. Let me make 100% clear that our organization, our staff and myself included will do what is in the best interest of our members moving forward.... The options on the table are to de-affiliate from CF or to remain an affiliate and support the brand. In order to do that I have spend countless hours over the past few days researching this topic, the underlying issue as well as listening to those who worked for CF and those athletes with close ties. CrossFit has branded a methodology, a way of fitness. They introduced the concept of fitness and even forced me to learn its meaning. It brought a whole new and powerful mindset to our members and changed many lives here at 12 North, myself included. I firmly believe that CF is so much more than one man's statement to the world. It represents, in the minds of many of the athletes, a way of LIFE. Changes are coming to the world of CF and namely the headquarters. We will not make a quick reaction to de-affiliate. We will continue to learn more and see what changes will come about in the near future. We will do what is right and what is in the best interest of our members/athletes. While I do not support any racist or off-tune comments from ANYONE, I do support what CF has done for me, my family and our members and I support the CF methodology. If any changes are to be made in the near or distant future, you will have clear knowledge of such change along with a plan to move forward. -Bryan
