This post was inspired by the passing of the genius Rupert Neve , creator , inventor at the level of a Steve Jobs or Einstein(to me ) The #MurdaMuzik album was fully recorded and mixed on a #NEVE console. This is my #MobbDeep Murda Muzik story. #ripprodigy . This is my bootleg version of the album MURDA MUZIK by Mobb Deep. I kept buying the CD and people kept stealing the inside CD and leaving me with the jewel case. I had to keep buying like 7 copies . I decided to just pri...nt a couple of CDs on my own so I can have the music when I wanted to play it. Lol PS .... yea this was before mp3 lol Oh ... when we are we’re working on the #QuietStorm single ....I went to 42nd St. with my then amazing and beautiful, once in a lifetime Simona . We were walking around and I heard a familiar tune song. I was like wait that’s Mobb that’s Mobb Deep. I said what? We were just working on that nothing was released yet what’s going on ....so I go there and on the table there was the bootleggers. They were already selling quiet storm and they were selling murda #Music bootleg version . I was in shock and there was like 20 people around the table listening to the song and nodding their heads. I was like wow it’s going to be HUGE. I mean , the whole camp , we all knew it was something hot and like amazing but seeing those people ...I knew it was gonna be something. Then when the album was released we had a party at midnight outside the parking lot of the record stores because the record stores would open for a couple of hours the night before release. So we got a copy drinking and smoking in the parking lot and I’m blasting Mobb Deep music at like 1 o’clock in the morning ......those were the days.
