1 866 Dial EDM

Doing something different today. Doing this for a customer that would use an old machine to do this.

Having some more fun at the Express playing with some new tools. Drilling two 0.500 diameter holes thru 2.5 thick in 30 seconds. Material 4140 prehard tool steel 2506 RPM 14.5 inched per min feed rate... Two holes completed in 30 seconds

When time is money it helps having a nice machine and a $300 carbide drill. Drilling 3/4 diameter hole 2.5 deep, material is 4140 Prehard tool steel. Drilling at 1671 RPM, feedrate of 14in/min, makes this hole be complete in about 20 seconds. Special thanks to Kennametal and H&C Tool for their help!

Can't believe this machine has been here for almost a year now! It was a good choice. If Santa wants to bring me a Cut P550 for Christmas, I'll come over and unlock the door for him. You know where I live Santa, just wake me up.

Not a bad shipping day for two guys and a bunch of machines. We are trying to get all your work out before I leave for the week. This was just the stuff shipping UPS today.
