The Miracle League WNY

It is with my deepest sorrow I inform our Miracle League Families and Friends of the passing of Michael "Moe' Dinsmore. Mikey is one of our original players and has seen the Miracle League through concept to creation. Mikey never failed to offer his suggestions and creative ideas to make the Miracle League a better place for all. Mikey's compassion and concern for his fellow players drove the Miracle League to continue to grow and progress to the next level. Mikey will be gr...eatly missed but his memory and impact on the Miracle League will remain forever. Thank you Mikey, you are a major reason why we are who we are and why we continue to exist. Please keep Mikey, his family and friends in your thoughts.

We are truly sadden by the news of the passing of Miracle League Umpire Bryce Shipman. Bryce was an important part of making our players smile. Please keep Bryce and his family in your thoughts.

Miracle League Families and Friends, As I sit here composing this email to you, I am saddened but hopeful for the upcoming season. I am sad as we will be unable to start our 2020 Season on the traditional Sunday after Memorial Day Weekend. But I am reminded as to why we enjoy our Miracle League so much. We enjoy the opportunity that so many take for granted, we enjoy the escape from our daily issues, we enjoy the socialization with so many that understand our similar daily... challenges, and we enjoy the successes being at a field strictly for the adaption of our players. During this time of a health crisis we truly appreciate the special nature of our Miracle League Field, and when we do return to the field, we will have overcome more challenges and appreciate our field so much more. As other traditional leagues are canceled for the upcoming season, we have the ability to once again adapt our league to meet our players needs and abilities. This pandemic reminds us as to why our Miracle League Field was built, it was built for us to overcome the challenges we are thrown. We are constantly monitoring the local political and health agencies recommendations and as soon as they give their approval we will open the field. We understand it is a personal decision for each player as to when you feel safe and comfortable to return. Please understand we will make the field available as soon as we can but the choice to attend is yours. We do not have anymore details as per timing of the opening of the field or to what a season structure may be, but as we gain more knowledge I will update you immediately.
