Enlightening and Powerful. We must speak truth to power, even if it means we continue to stand alone. We will ensure that the programming we are currently provi...ding to all women, especially African American Women, women of African Decent and women of Color is wrapped in cultural humility inside and out. We are our sisters keepers.

I was sitting here counting...because I actually was not aware of how many zoom webinars I’ve been on from all over this country and abroad with regard to Afric...an-American women, Maternal and Breastfeeding concerns and issues, conversations, discussions and legitimate think tanks. I’ve come to the conclusion that far too many in Western New York especially in Buffalo are living in the dark ageswhen it comes to being innovative and inclusive of African Americans, Women of African decent and Women of Color. This must change! WNY not only fails African American women, we actually fall down and can’t get up. Why you may ask? It’s because of the guards and gate keepers who believe that they have the answers and have continually far too long spoken out on our behalf and blocked progress and change. Structural, institutional, implicit and explicit racism and bias is alive and well. this is just my opinion. And, I approve of this message.
