Being selected for their medical outreach scholarship means extra training via learning modules, webinars, and support calls and comprehensive customized medical outreach plans, and connections with local medical mentors to better serve our Western New York community.

ICYMI. Many children with #downsyndrome are eligible for Medicaid and free school lunch. Because of the COVID-19 quarantine, families that have children receiving a free school lunch may receive a one-time SNAP benefit to replace the cost of those meals. The stakes always seem higher when you have a child with Down syndrome. All children are missing out on valuable education time during this pandemic. But as a parent of a child with Down syndrome, I worry about the long term implications. Will she ever catch up on what she missed or just be that much further behind?
