The Mayor’s Office for International Affairs is sharing the latest developments from City Hall regarding Covid-19 : Reminder: NYC remains on track to reopen public school buildings for in-person learning on Dec. 7, starting with students in 3-K, Pre-K and Elementary Schools. The City had suspended in-person learning in response to rising COVID rates. All public school children transitioned to remote learning. Daily Health Indicators (as of Nov. 29):... Daily percentage of residents who test positive for COVID: 5.72% (previously 4.69%) Daily reported cases of COVID-19, seven-day average: 1,685 (previously 1,620) People admitted to the hospital with suspected COVID-19: 132 (previously 96) There is a 48-hour lag as hospitals report to the city. Thresholds: Below 5%/day for percentage of NYC residents who test positive for COVID-19. Below 550/day for daily reported cases of COVID-19. Below 200/day for people admitted to the hospital with suspected COVID-19. If we stay below these thresholds on a sustained basis over two weeks, we can continue to loosen restrictions.
