5150 Martial Arts

This past Saturday we had our third winter Black Belt Exam. Congratulations to our newest black belt Murphy. For a whole year she has stayed consistent and focused doing her training on zoom. We are so proud of you ! Congratulations to our second-degree black belts. MB, Randi, John and Debi. You guys have been dedicated and hard working students through out these crazy times! Thank you for always giving it your all year after year! A special shout out to Coach Nick who earn...ed his Fourth Degree . Coach Nick has been training with us since he was 10 years old ! Now 23 years young , you have developed into a fine martial artist and man Coach-Thank you for your dedication, and your ability to carry out our curriculum with such joy and enthusiasm. Whether the kids are on zoom or the mat - the kids not only train hard but they always leave the class with laughs and smiles. Congratulations to Sensei Shapiro for earning her Fifth-Degree Black Belt. I remember 18 years ago teaching her first intro lesson to the martial arts. And I also remember being on the mat with her 15 years ago when she earned her Black Belt. Thank you for everything that you do for 5150 . Wearing many hats at the academy.. and with each hat she wears, she excels In it. Sensei’s positive attitude and her ability to balance the mat , office , the kids and the parents is truly remarkable. Thank you for your support, dedication and friendship to our students and myself. Thank you for always being my right hand for all these years. Congratulations to everyone that earned their Black Belt and Degree of Black Belt these past 2 weeks! On February 6th we had Joesph , and Joshua earn their Junior 1st Degree and Jude , Jacob earned their junior 2nd Degree ranks. This past Saturday Elizabeth earned her Black Belt! Mary Ann and Christina earned their 1st Degree and Joanna and Maxine earned their 2nd Degree ranks . Congratulations on staying focused and determined through this crazy year of uncertainty! We are so proud of your accomplishments! Next Saturday we will have our 3rd Black Belt Exam , where we will have Murphy going for Blackbelt, Debi, John, Randi, MB going for 2nd Degree, and Coach Nick going for 4th and Sensei Shapiro going for 5th Degree!
