This year hits differently-and harder. I have a ton that I could write from that day and the weeks that followed, but we all have our stories. I will say that, in 2006, I did have the opportunity to meet and spend some time talking to Guy Tozzoli, who directed the planning and oversaw construction of the World Trade Center. Previously, he’d worked with Robert Moses on other big projects in NYC. His hope, he said, was that somehow the Trade Center in New York and the others a...round the world, would inspire peace on a global scale. I asked him several times about 9/11/01 and interestingly, he could tell me what he was doing but not what was he was feeling. I can only imagine that his emotions were indescribable and endlessly deep with devastating disappointment that his creation met its demise in such a hateful and destructive way. As my very first manager, @elainedeanatcorcoran told me, there is no crying in real estate. This apartment was one of the first I ever sold and it was long, complicated and the closing was over 6 hours long. Over the decade they lived here, my clients and I have become very close friends.
