New Coffee Alert : Tanzania (Co-Op) -- This washed peaberry coffee has a clear profile and notes of harmonious honeycomb, herbs and sweet dates. It's a classic Kilimanjaro coffee from the high-altitude foothills of Africa's tallest mountain. Fun fact: peaberry coffees are distinguished in quality because they contain 1 seed per coffee cherry rather than the typical 2 seeds per cherry. This gives the single seed of the peaberry more sugars and nutrients from the pulp of the cherry, as well as a unique round shape! Available in store an online :)

He is an informed advocate against the displacement of Black-owned businesses in his city of Detroit, under its current wave of gentrification. His goals are to develop the community cafe model and help integrate the specialty coffee industry by supporting local Black baristas. Emie is a specialty barista who also hosts a podcast called Rouse and Rapport focused on health and community. She’s studying to become a doula and volunteers with the New Orleans People’s Assembly. Her goals are to encourage, uplift, and highlight the legacy of Black women in coffee in NOLA. Dante is an artist, father, and coffee enthusiast. He works full-time in a church and dedicates most of his time to serving his community. His goals are to help educate young people in coffee and to open a coffee shop that facilitates gathering and community projects. How often do you get to see the face behind the bag of coffee you purchased? This is Eduviges Panche. She is a third-generation women coffee farmer from Colombia and produced her first ever specialty grade microlot last year. We purchased the entire lot from her through @cosecha_traders as an effort to support and encourage her in producing high quality coffee. She made a video to thank us. It warms our hearts to know that our decision to support women farmers made a difference, and it helped improved the quality of life of a family. Here, we also want to thank YOU, for your continuous support of us, and our cause. YOU have made a difference. March 8th is International Women’s Day, and we are kicking off with this powerful video from Eduviges. Stay empowered, stay fabulous!
